Hello! My name is Sonia and I am passionate about capturing life's most treasured moments using various photography styles and techniques. Photography gives me the opportunity to express myself creatively, appreciate the beauty around me and connect with the world. From young, I was always the girl with a camera-in-hand, snapping photos at family events ensuring that every detail was included and memories were preserved.

 

Inspired by the arts, creativity is embedded in my veins. I began my creative journey several years ago working as an event planner for a Toronto law firm and loved it! For seven years, events were my babies, but after having my own children, my creative interests intensified and my love of photography resurfaced. The desire to take photos became stronger, and I knew in my heart it was the right time to pursue my lifelong passion and reinvent myself. My husband recognized my talent before I ever did (he always sees things before I do!), and he encouraged me to follow my dreams. So, I did!

 

Like most creative people, I am always pushing myself artistically and finding innovative ways to transform original ideas into exciting photo shoots that move my clients. I often get asked which session is my favorite, and that really depends on the day! I love them all which is why I strive to offer a variety of sessions that appeal to my clients. I like to think I specialize in love: Maternity, Newborn, Cake Smash, and Family Photos... it's all about love! My hope is that I am always inspiring others through my work and cultivating lifelong bonds and relationships.

I could have never imagined in my wildest dreams that one day I would run my own business and do what I love most. I am grateful for the overwhelming support I continue to receive from friends and family. I truly feel blessed for my wonderful clients who give me creative freedom and am deeply humbled by the love everyone has showed SweetArt Images. I look to the future with so much optimism and wonder, and can’t wait to continue to Create, Capture, and Cherish ♥
